What Are We Up To...
Reading:
Both Groups: Farmer Boy

Composition:
Persuasive Essays: Presenting clear, focused and logical arguments

Math:

Please continue to review the weekly assigned multiplication facts. The students who regularly study them have shown marked improvements and are doing very well in their math fact pages and on their homework.

Utah Studies:
We are moving on to settlement in the West, Gold Rush and Wild West. Be sure to check out our growing Pioneer tribute outside our room now representing a typical pioneer village complete with Fort Bridger, log cabins, "soddys" and dugouts.

Science
3, 2, 1...We're off, to Space. Our next unit will be on our Solar System, hopefully enhanced by a trip to Hansen's Planetarium in Slat Lake sometime mid February. We always appreciate drivers who can help transport us there!
